Position Summary
Gym Rental Attendant monitors the implementation of assigned recreation activities and program supervision of renters in the gymnasium, working directly with clients and other staff as needed. Responsible to call potential rental groups to provide information.
Essential Functions
Hours/Schedule
This part-time position requires availability in the evening on weekdays and flexibility on the weekend.
Specific Duties:
Supervisor weekend and weeknight gym rentals groups.
Supervise members, programs, and activities as assigned.
Enforce facility safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
Complete check list each shift.
Respond to inquiries from potential groups interested in renting the gym by providing detailed information about the availability of the facility.
Follow up with parties, schedule appointments, and coordinate new rental agreements with management.
Track rental agreements, applications, documents, and records of usage.
Coordinate with OC Events Coordinator and Children’s Ministries Director to meet the needs and goals of the facility.
Complete and report all accidents and injuries if necessary.
Record statistics and reports for youth activities.
PAY RATE: $16.00-$24.00/hr.
Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Must be able to grasp, push and pull objects such as general office and small recreational equipment. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must complete certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
Must be available to work a minimum of 10- 15 hours per week.
Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds for short distances.
Minimum 6 months of experience with customer services
Experience calling customers or accounts preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Must have ability to work with, direct, and relate well with co-workers, community members, and guests/clients.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
Must possess good relationship skills.
Must be task oriented, responsible and can work independently.
Ability to work flexible hours including mainly weekends and evenings as needed.
Ability to follow policies and procedures, arrive prepared for work and on time.
Friendly and approachable; good customer service skills
Excellent communication skills.
Cautious and careful of health and safety for the clients.
Comfortable with setting up and taking down tables and sport equipment as needed.
