I'm hiring for a Sr. Financial Analyst or Financial Manager (DOE) for a privately held construction and engineering firm in Tysons Corner. My client has a strong track record of growth both for the organization and their employees. This is an in-office position with finance and accounting responsibilities for multi-year large scale government contracts.

Responsibilities: The Finance Manager will be an essential part of our growing finance team, supporting substantial multi-year Facilities Engineering Operations and Maintenance Programs. The successful candidate will carry out the following tasks: • Project Cost Control:

o Collaborate with the project management team to establish precise budgets and manpower forecast.

o Review and manage indirect costs by comparing budget to actuals weekly, identifying sources of variances and discussing these with project managers.

o Create an accurate cash flow forecast and ensure the project maintains positive cash flow throughout its duration. Perform monthly monitoring and adjustments as required.

o Guarantee on-time submission of complex monthly billing.

o Perform contract reconciliations and change order tracking.

o Compile ad-hoc reports for project managers and executives.

o Conduct effective monthly Key Project Reviews (KPR).

• Project Procurement Planning:

o Lead procurement planning for the project, ensuring compliance and logistics considerations are included.

o Support the project team to complete procurement activities before reaching 20% project completion.

o Perform a monthly analysis comparing actual procurement to planned procurement; provide justification for adjustments to the plan.

• Project Controls:

o Aid the project team in monthly financial report preparation.

o Provide cost analysis and require explanations for any variances.

o Ensure justification for identified variances.

Requirements

Experience:

• Candidates should have 4+ years of related experience.

• A solid understanding of general accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills.

• Able to solve problems using accounting principles.

Education:

• A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related
