We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TS/SCI w Poly clearance REQUIRED

What you’ll do: The Cloud Engineer will deliver support for cloud engineering, platform engineering, and Data and Application Security. Shall be responsible for the development and delivery of the modular enterprise architecture, engineering design and implementation plan of the identity management to support the mission and vision. Modular enterprise engineering design must be flexible enough to support the infrastructure hosting workloads of other cloud service providers. Cloud engineering support must include the development and delivery of Customer’s cloud adoption and migration, provide the technical guidance and direction to design the modular operating system baselines to support the modular data and application Tier hosting strategy. Shall provide technical guidance and direction to engineering a modular security design to protect the workloads hosting services for Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology (IT), or a related discipline and 5+ years experience

  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure

  • General programming skills with knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, and/or Ruby

  • Knowledge of virtual networks and general network management functions

  • Cloud database management skills and knowledge of MySQL and Hadoop

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Support working and integrating open-source frameworks/products, experience deploying various open-source packages and/or application stacks into the Customer's production landscape, multi-core, multi-threaded, and distributed system

  • Develop and apply requirements and specifications documentation
