The Design Technician 2 (Module Design) supports design of multi-discipline modular building components. Specific activities include supporting model development and production fabrication shop drawings based on the coordinated model, engineering design, specifications, and materials and equipment submittals to meet the project needs and M.C.Dean's constructability objectives.

Review and analysis of the product models, specifications and submittals.

Support for detailed design of architectural and structural elements.

Production of detailed fabrication and installation drawings.

Essential knowledge and skills:

· Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related concepts is desirable.

· Proficiency with the product design software

· Autodesk Inventor and/or Dassault Systems Solidworks

· BlueBeam

· MS Office

· Working knowledge of the following products is desirable:

· Autodesk Revit

· Autodesk Navisworks

· Autodesk AutoCAD

Experience:

· 1+ years of product design/drafting experience

· 4+ years of experience with a high school diploma or GED.

· Ability to work as part of a multi-discipline team
