Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Union City, California
Description Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary position located in the Union City, California area. Major responsibilities
Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers
Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
Quality experience with About Time
Hands-on experience with filing
Comprehension of Spreadsheets
Prior experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
Proven knowledge of Invoice
Foundational knowledge in training
Experience with Adjustments
Skills in Clerical Duties
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Word
Earlier work involving scanning
Answering Inbound Calls experience highly desired
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Office Suites
Data entry experience preferred
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Practical knowledge of supervising
Solid understanding of Coding
Experience with Expense Reporting
General familiarity with Microsoft Outlook
Previous experience working with Paperwork
Comprehensive knowledge of customer service
Solid understanding of Communication Skills
Good understanding of Receptionist Duties
Deep understanding of video
Knowledge of Scanning Documents
Wide ranging experience with Workstation Support
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
