JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Dr. Emily Ansell's laboratory in the Department of Biobehavioral Health in the College of Health and Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University isseeking a candidate for a Human Research Technologist.Research in the lab focuses on understanding mechanisms underlying vulnerability to substance use and risk behaviors.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating lab activities, including recruitment, scheduling, and clinical assessments with participants.

Manage and maintain databases (including REDCap), perform preliminary data analysis, and support manuscript development.

Implement and oversee neuroimaging protocols and smartphone-based assessments to include training.

Conduct cognitive testing and ensure participant retention in longitudinal studies.

Education and Experience: Requires an Associate's Degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting is preferred.

Candidates with experience in clinical assessments, smartphone-based apps, blood specimen processing, and/or neuroimaging protocols will be given priority. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, thrive in a team environment, and demonstrate a high level of care, responsibility, and attention to detail.

Additional Information: This is a limited-term staff position, funded for one year from the date of hire, with the possibility of renewal contingent on performance and funding availability.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $38,300.00 - $55,500.00
