JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State Department of Chemical Engineering at University Park campus is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar. The successful candidate will focus on computational and modeling work for the consolidated bioprocessing organism Clostribium thermocellum both in isolation and in co-culture with other organisms using flux balance analysis, resource balance analysis and kinetic modeling. A Ph.D. in chemical engineering, biological engineering, genome science, or a related field is required.
Additional Information: This is a term appointment, funded for one year from date of hire, with a possibility of renewal. Renewal is dependent on availability of funds, the successful candidate's performance/progress, and their career goals (mentoring plans will be tailored to meet the individual's goals). The successful candidate's anticipated start date would be January 2025.
