Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Upland, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Upland, California. This role involves overseeing the financial records of our organization, including accounts payable and receivable processes, payroll, bank reconciliations, and more. You will be working in the construction industry, where your strong understanding of prevailing wages and ability to use QuickBooks Enterprise and Sage software will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process vendor invoices and reconcile supplier statements.

• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and maintain a systematic filing system for all AP-related documents.

• Generate customer invoices and statements, monitor and track customer payments.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate with relevant departments for issue resolution.

• Reconcile AR accounts and report any discrepancies.

• Record financial transactions in the general ledger and prepare and post journal entries as needed.

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.

• Generate regular financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, and provide financial analysis and insights to management.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

• Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise and Sage software proficiently to manage financial data and stay updated on software updates and enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

• Assist in preparing for external audits by providing necessary documentation and address audit queries. Requirements • Proficient in Full Charge Bookkeeping

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll system

• Proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
