Employ Prince George's Coordinator, Data Administration in Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Hybrid

Position Compensation: $67,593annually, benefits include health, life, and dental insurance, internet allowance, paid time off, and 401(k), profit sharing.

The Coordinator, Data Administration leads and maintains data systems used by Employ Prince Georgess Inc, the American Job Center Community Network, the Prince Georges County Workforce Development Board contracted providers, and the American Job Center partners. They perform various duties overseeing, analyzing, and extracting critical data and information and reporting and monitoring data quality to meet the Prince Georges County Workforce Systems information needs and requirements. The Coordinator trains the staff of the Employ Prince George's Inc, the American Job Center Community Network, the Prince Georges County Workforce Development Board contracted providers, and the American Job Center partners on using the data systems as the subject-matter expert.

The Coordinator will assist the Manager, Data Administration in supporting the Prince George's County Public Workforce System, management, and internal and external customers to develop and deliver impactful data products, performance reporting, analysis, training, and labor market information.

The Coordinator, Data Administration, reports to the Manager, Data Administration or Director, Program Integrity and Data Administration. They work closely with the Prince George's County Public Workforce System, the American Job Center Community Network, the Prince Georges County Workforce Development Board contracted providers, and the American Job Center partners. This position is exempt and currently supervises one Data Associate staff member.

Essential Responsibilities:

Management System

  • Supports the launch of new/updated versions of data platforms, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades, participating in calls with CRM developers or system administrators, and resolving problems quickly.
  • Supports maintaining customer relationships management platform systems that support Prince George's County Public Workforce System.
  • Manage import and export data files within and between data systems
  • Regularly review and cleanse data, as needed, to ensure the highest quality possible
  • Develop and implement procedures for effective data management across multiple program data systems

Systems Support and Training

  • Develop, organize, and maintain training materials and provide technical support and guidance for program managers
  • Regularly evaluate staff proficiency and work to improve both systems adoption and data reporting continuously
  • Develop reports and data visualizations for internal and external reporting
  • Compile data for partner reports on an as-needed, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts

Labor Market Information

  • Analyzes data from various sources to determine labor market trends, sub-recipients' performance, MWE, and other resources to produce Labor Market Reports.
  • Develop and execute the primary labor market and economic analysis to assist grant writers, programs, Workforce Boards, partner agencies, and other regional audiences.
  • Produce regular and specialized research and analysis on the regional economy and labor market.
  • Develop and provide training, and give presentations to local area groups to introduce and develop fluency with available labor market and economic information and its uses

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise and guide Data Associate role, including planning and evaluating functional activities
  • In the event of vacancies, this role will support recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new staff and supporting the professional development and growth opportunities
  • Mentor the staff with insightful developmental feedba k and uphold a regular cycle of formal and informal reviews, including regular one-on-one meetings.
