Employ Prince George's Coordinator, Pathways to Success in Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Hybrid (After Training) Position Compensation: $65,625 annually, benefits include health, life, and dental insurance, internet allowance, paid time off, and 401(k), profit sharing.

The Coordinator, Pathways to Success will primarily coordinate reentry programming branded Pathways to Success (PTS) The PTS program focuses on training, developing, and increasing the employment outcomes of ex-offenders returning to Prince Georges County, reducing recidivism. The PTS program follows a detailed eligibility and data reporting model based on the best practices of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) workforce development programs. The Coordinator, Pathways to Success will collaborate with partner agencies, as the central point of contact between Employ Prince Georges (EPG), the Department of Corrections, and other justice system referral agencies. The success of the Coordinator, PTS will depend on their ability to recruit program participants and coordinate services that include employment/training, housing, mentoring, and other comprehensive services.

The Coordinator, PTS reports to the Manager, Career Services, and supervises the Career Consultant, PTS. They liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the furthering of program initiatives. This position is exempt.

Essential Responsibilities:

Program Coordination Coordinate partnerships and opportunities to expand reentry services Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to produce an effective reentry program Develop and facilitate a strategy for community education and awareness of reentry services which would include participation in recruitment and outreach events Work directly with the Department of Corrections and local service providers to plan for reintegration from incarceration into the community Link customers with appropriate community resources and services to support the accomplishment of their career goals Case Management/Direct Participant Services Facilitate job clubs or workshops specific to reentry customers Assist customers in identifying job leads and making job referrals Assess customers need for bonding and issue bonding letter if required Conduct initial customer screening to determine the level of service and support needed Record services and case notes of reentry customers in a database such as the Maryland Workforce Exchange Coordinate with appropriate agencies in obtaining necessary offender documents to assist in offender eligibility and application for various reentry benefits and services Attend evening and weekend events in MD, DC, and VA as needed Supervision Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Career Consultant, Pathways to Success to achieve program performance goals Instruct and guide in efficient and effective case management practices, and provide exceptional customer service to program participants Review participant case files and provide direction to the Career Consultant, Pathways to Success on making improvements, as needed Assign data input and required administrative tasks to the appropriate staff member(s) and monitor performance of these tasks, providing direction and feedback, as needed Provide technical guidance and instructions to aid the Career Consultant, Pathways to Success in managing difficult and specialized caseloads Assist in the screening, interviewing, selection, and training of new staff, interns, and aides This is a full-time, salaried position that features competitive pay and benefits, including health care (medical/dental/vision), paid time off, internet benefits (For hybrid or remote roles), employer 401k contribution, and additional employee perks. Position Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role Youll Need:

Bachelors degree in Human/Social Services, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of 3-5 years of workforce development or judicial system experience Working knowledge f the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and other federal, state, and local workforce development programs, knowledge of community resources, regional labor market, local hiring trends, and major employers At least 2 years successfully delivering services to returning citizens in a performance-based environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with using MIS database systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must possess a valid Drivers License Must be willing to travel to various partner sites throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia Availability to attend monthly, evening, and/or weekend events, as necessary Other Highly Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience, and Key Characteristics: Knowledge specific to the judicial/correctional system and reentry resources and services within the community Certification(s) related to the provision of re-entry services such as Offender Workforce Development Services (OWDS)
