Urbana Country Club Golf Course Assistant Superintendent in Training in Urbana, Illinois
Interested in a full time career in golf course maintenance or just looking for a new or better Assistant Superintendent position? Urbana Country Club is looking for the right individual to join our team as we prepare to open the brand new Drew Rogers Golf Course in May 2025. The construction and irrigation crews are gone, but there is still a lot to do. We want someone to help lead our team in the daily maintenance operations while learning to perform and teach each task at the highest of levels. You will be expected to jump in everywhere from course set up to spraying and fertilizing and even light mechanical work. He or she should be looking to grow in the industry while growing with Urbana Country Club. We have a brand new golf course with USGA greens with Pure Distinction and 007XL on Tees and Fairways. Better Billy Bunkers with ProAngle sand, new Rain Bird 2 wire Irrigation system, concrete cart paths and new short game and driving range are also apart of the project. Continuing education is an important part of the position and the club has opportunities to support you in a variety of ways.
The club opened a new 26 million resort in 2021 including 8 hotel rooms, spa and aquatic center, New entrance road and parking lots are currently underway with a new 3 million dollar turf maintenance facility in the future master plans.
It's great opportunity to infuse yourself into a growing operation with challenges and new things happening almost daily.

Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Able to pass a 10 panel drug screen and background check
Reliable
2 years of golf course experience is the minimum requirement with a strong desire to continue a career in the golf industry moving forward.
Positive individual who is will to learn, grow with the team and help leader our golf course maintenance operation as we move forward.
