Your opportunity
Within the North America Client Group is the Specialist Consulting Group (SCG). SCG is comprised of 7 autonomous “teams of teams” that offer internal colleagues and clients a wide range of expertise in various areas. One of these areas is Defined Contribution. Janus Henderson had a robust Defined Contribution business and has been an industry leader in the evolution of zero-revenue mutual fund share classes and collective investment trusts. A wide range of equity, fixed income, and multi-asset investment solutions are available.
This person will be expected to drive gross sales and net new revenue within their assigned territory, calling on a select group of approximately 250 to 300 Defined Contribution advisory practices. In addition, the DC Specialist will partner with their Janus Henderson retail wholesaler counterparts to provide sales support to all other advisors.
Meet or exceed stated sales goal by servicing a focused list of identified top DC advisors and consultants in a specified territory.
Partner with retail wholesales to service all other advisors pursuing Defined Contribution business.
Work closely with the Insurance and Retirement Group, Channel Marketing and Distribution Strategy and Analysis to set objectives and prioritize opportunities.
Deliver our value-added to plan sponsors, industry participants and retirement focused-advisors where and when needed.
Carry out additional duties as assigned .

Must have skills
Client facing sales and/or product specialist experience.
A college degree is required.
An advanced degree (MBA) or professional designation (CFA or CFP) is preferred, but not required.
Series 7 and Series 63 is required. Other securities licenses may be required during the normal course of employment.
In addition to putting clients first, acting like an owner, and succeeding as a team, the competencies for this role include:
Excellent client facing skills.
Broad understanding of the Defined Contribution market, core menu design best practices, and capital market proficiency.
High technical proficiency (ERISA).
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed, in line with applicable regulatory requirements, by:
Annual performance appraisal.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through February 28, 2025.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
