Vertafore Manager, Procurement in US, United States

$80,000 - $110,000 / year

We're seeking a Procurement Manager to support our organization with contract negotiation, procurement processing, vendor management and assessment, and expense planning and analysis. In this position, you will work closely with our Finance, Legal, and FP&A teams along with business leaders across the organization to ensure they are receiving the goods and services they need to run the business at the best price possible, partner with senior leaders to find the best vendors to meet our needs, as well as providing in-depth analyses to support expense management and planning.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions include but not limited to:

  • Understand the needs of the business to procure the best equipment and services possible at the best price available

  • Lead and/or facilitate negotiations with Vendors for all categories of spend

  • Manage workflows related to purchase requests and approvals, order and contract execution, and purchase order issuance

  • Develop internal and external Procurement policies and procedures, along with maintaining and upholding companywide communications and training sessions

  • Maintain appropriate records within our financial management system and contract management system

  • Work with vendors and our Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payment of invoices

  • Develop and maintain financial analyses on Vertafore’s vendors spend

  • Perform vendor reviews and identify opportunities for better expense efficiency

  • Track contract end dates and proactively work to renew contracts on schedule

  • Work with our Finance team and business leaders to develop accurate expense forecasts and plans

  • Manage and maintain renewal tracker

  • Manage and maintain savings tracker

  • Manage and develop one Procurement Analyst

  • Other duties as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong presentation, reporting, and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability in leading successful negotiations

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Experience managing and developing people

  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Office, and financial software applications

  • Experience with statistical analysis, analytic reviews, and reporting

  • NetSuite experience is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership

Qualifications:

  • At least 5-7 years in working in procurement is required

  • Previous management experience is preferred

  • Proven experience partnering with executive management to achieve procurement goals

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience

    Additional Requirements and Details:

  • Located and working from an office location. Should be able to commute to Denver office as needed

  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

  • Frequent sitting and/or standing.
