Advantive Tax & Compliance Manager in US, United States

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for transfer pricing planning and studies

  • Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and leadership on tax related items

  • Partner and manage the relationship with external tax advisors and CPA firms

  • Reviews tax returns and related documents to ensure compliance with federal, state and international laws. Authorizes the payment of taxes due

  • Works closely with Accounting to provide tax rates for review of business results and forecasts

  • Advises management of the impact of new tax laws and proposed legislation

  • Pursues refunds, credits and incentives as the company moves into new markers or new locations to maximize tax benefits to the company

  • Review quarterly tax provisions and various tax computations

  • Oversee preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country by country reporting

  • Recognise complex technical tax issues, perform research and analysis to support management decision-making

  • Develop federal and state tax planning ideas

  • Attend professional development and training sessions

  • Manage U.S. international tax compliance process

  • Proficient in sales & use tax remediation (voluntary disclosure agreements)

Requirements:

  • CPA license in good standing

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

  • Experience in fast-paced environment

  • 3+ years of tax related experience

  • Experience in Pass-through, sales and use taxation

  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Work effectively in a professional team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects, especially long-term

  • Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture

  • Ability or interest in generating and building business, ability to delegate work and manage staff

Preferred:

  • Experience mentoring and training more junior level team members

  • Masters of Taxation preferred but not required

  • Exposure to International Taxation

  • Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner
