Job Description

The Senior Payroll Analyst is client focused, operating in a multi-client Payroll delivery environment, responsible for providing day-to-day operational support, including but not limited to complex payroll processing, researching data issues, solving complex customer/client issues, analyzing trends and following standard Payroll operating procedures (SOPs) in the ongoing client owned/services operated tenant. The Senior Analyst will ensure timely, accurate Payroll delivery by supporting client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Reported Service Levels (RSLs), and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) adherence.

Operations Management for assigned client(s)/service

  • Support effective cost management practices; suggest operational improvements

  • Provide case management oversight and adherence to turn-around times

  • Responsible for completing SOC Audits, BCP, change management and identifying process improvements

  • Manage process documentation in support of SLAs and Operational Health

  • Ensure Point of View (POV) and related changes are adopted and implemented consistently

  • Supports the Client Service Managers (CSM) in consultative best practice conversations with the client(s)

  • Ensure process documentation is current, accurate and fully supports achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Health

  • Create, manage and execute on required recovery plans and Root Cause Analysis documentation, as necessary.

  • Ensure appropriate domain participation in Change Request requirements sessions, resource estimation exercises, and internally-initiated projects

  • Provide input into contingency planning for succession

Business Management for assigned client(s)/service

  • Adhere to Alight Operating System guidelines and supporting industry best practices

  • Monitor the workload across aligned operations ensuring business as usual and projects are delivered to required deadlines with quality

  • Analyze productivity data on the output of work across aligned operations to identify trends that drive operational improvement

  • Drive overall quality control

  • Own initial day- to- day client escalations.

  • Support and identify opportunity for process optimization by promoting the management and sharing of knowledge and opportunities across the business

  • Participate and support initiatives, including support for client prospects

Requirements:

  • Workday Payroll implementation experience desired, Workday Payroll experience required

  • 3-5 years professional experience in payroll administration

  • Experience in project/implementation work and familiar with Project Management processes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deliverables, with specific deadlines

  • Demonstration of problem solving/analysis skills to solve various stakeholder issues or process changes

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with direction from senior management

  • Ability to identify process improvement areas

  • Ability to refine processing procedures based on strategy and best practice understanding

  • Understanding of other in scope related HR service areas desired (e.g. compensation, benefits, equity)

  • Ability to navigate and learn multiple systems

  • Ability to understand and analyze the impact of changing priorities and balance resources appropriately

  • Advanced Payroll, tax and accounting functional and operational knowledge preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management and influence multiple stakeholder groups, including clients/customers

  • Client consulting and coaching experience using highly developed interpersonal, influence, and relationship skills

  • Experience in leveraging an Agile framework to support project deliverables

  • Travel: <10%, or as needed

Education:

  • Undergraduate Degree (BA, BBA, BS in Business), equivalent degree or work experience expected

  • CPP, FPC a plus

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

55,800 USD

Maximum :

88,500 USD
