Teaching up to a 12-hour course load during the academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), maintaining scholarly productivity, and participating in service at the department, college, and university levels. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses in Cost/Managerial Accounting with the possibility of teaching Financial Accounting courses as well. LCOBA faculty members also serve as academic advisors and mentors to the students.
Typical Allocation of Duties
Teaching and scholarship - 80% Teaches classes and conducts/presents research in the employee's academic discipline.
Service - 20% Participates in service at the department, college, and university levels. ::: ::: ::: :::

- Doctorate in Accounting or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution of higher education or member institution or other internationally accredited institution must be completed no later than August 1, 2025;
- Qualify as a Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards by time of appointment;
- Ability to effectively teach Cost/Managerial Accounting;
- Evidence of ability to produce original and innovative scholarly research to be published in quality journals;
- Ability to engage in course/program development;
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship. ::: ::: ::: :::

- Professional certification, CPA and/or CMA preferred;
- Experience teaching graduate courses;
- Online teaching experience;
- Experience in academic advising;
- A record of effective teaching appropriate to the applicants career stage;
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting;
