  • Set up machines for operation, change material and color to meet production schedules
  • Make appropriate adjustments to machines to affect efficient production levels and document appropriately; respond to QA Techs and understands JDE priorities.
  • Start up and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands in JDE.
  • Process and set up all new molds.
  • Maintain cycle times and minimize down time.
  • Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems.
  • Use proper Lockout/tagout procedures
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions
  • Maintain foil supply on hot stamp equipment.
  • Maintain steady uninterrupted supply of colorant and material to the machines.
  • Make resin changes with the correct resin and to the correct machines.
  • Inspect scrap and minimize scrap at each machine
  • Clean all Molds on all IML machines safely and accurately
  • Responsible for changing IML labels, foil, grips and wire on each machine
  • Assure all paperwork is completely filled out on a daily basis; i.e. daily process records, machine cleaning, etc.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Responsible for ensuring safety, quality and housekeeping standards are maintained in the production department.
  • Documenting any down time on injections sheets, which includes, color changes, etc.
  • Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and the team leaders the supplies needed for each production run, including returning inventory of unused supplies.
  • Be knowledgeable of inventory procedures, following product guidelines
  • Know and conduct quick start up and shut down emergency procedures.
  • Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;
  • Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and
  • Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
