Job Title: Press Brake Operator $30/hr
Job Description
The Brake Press Operator is an individual contributor position where you will have the opportunity to work independently to support the organization's goals and mission. A qualified candidate will understand proper modes for calibration and setup, check material thickness, and cycle the machine before production runs. You will be capable of calibrating with each setup of dies and ram and understand dies and setup. You will identify the correct top and bottom dies, calculate included angles, material thickness to bend angle, and program the brake press correctly. You will also make shafts, shrouds, and structural channels to prescribed specifications, perform routine machine maintenance, and assist helpers when needed. This active position involves standing throughout the entire shift and occasionally operating grinders and lifting tools weighing up to 50 lbs. Operators will also have the opportunity to run the flip tack jig, pass an A- welder test, and learn how to put together 3 piece poles using the 3 piece jig. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to run a 15-ton and a 30-ton overhead crane.
Responsibilities
Understand proper modes for calibration and setup.
Check material thickness and first part.
Cycle the machine before production runs.
Calibrate with each setup of dies and ram.
Identify the correct top and bottom dies.
Calculate included angles and material thickness to bend angle.
Program the brake press correctly.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of quality procedures, standards, and practices.
Acceptable work history and attendance record.
Familiarity with operator’s maintenance of the equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment
Production environment: loud, clean, hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. The 2nd shift opening is from 3 PM to 11 PM. Steel toe boots, jeans, and a work shirt are required. The team consists of 4-5 other members.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.26 - $30.26
