Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the professional services industry. Located in Valley, Nebraska, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This role involves reconciling accounts, processing financial data, and utilizing various accounting software and tools to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake account reconciliation tasks to ensure financial data accuracy

• Utilize Sage 100 and other accounting software in processing financial data

• Contribute to various financial reporting and analysis activities

• Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Exercise advanced Excel skills in handling large data sets

• Participate in budget processes and manage accounting functions

• Engage in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and processes

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively for various tasks

• Handle bank and credit card reconciliations

• Manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and expense reporting processes. Requirements • Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar for a minimum of 3 years

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems such as Sage 100 and Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions such as Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, and Credit Card Reconciliation

• Experience with CapEx and Budget Processes

• Knowledge in Expense Reporting and Finance

• Proficient in handling Credit Card Statements

• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
