Community Health Systems RN Outpatient Surgery PRN in VALPARAISO, Indiana
Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the center in the perioperative areas. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the surgical patient based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of the patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university or college. [Required].
Certifications/Experience:
One [1] year experience Charge Nurseexperience preferred
Minimum of one [1] year experience in nursing with at least one [1] year experience in Medical/Surgical or Critical Care nursing and/or at least one [1] year in an Operating Room role. [Preferred].
Current Indiana Registered Nurse licensure. [Required].
CPR certification upon hire or by the end of orientation. [Required].
ACLS certification upon hire or within 2 months of employment. [Required].
