Robert Half Program Manager in Van Nuys, California

Description

The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of all projects across global markets, including regions such as EMEA and Asia. This role is critical to the successful development and launch of new products. The individual will lead complex programs while managing a team of Project Managers within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercialization of major projects (new product development, product changes) in collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Compliance, Costing, and Brand Design.

  • Conduct high-level requirements sessions with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, processes, and workflows to ensure efficiency and flawless execution, assigning appropriate ownership for all deliverables.

  • Contribute to discussions with departments and management on resource allocation, scheduling, team prioritization, and challenges.

  • Lead root cause analysis, mitigation efforts, and resolve project conflicts as needed.

  • Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks by collaborating with global cross-functional teams.

  • Lead project meetings, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, and decision-making documentation.

  • Provide leadership and guidance throughout all phases of assigned programs and projects.

  • Manage, train, and coach Project Managers within the PMO team, ensuring adherence to standards and compliance with requirements.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

Top Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Program Manager role or similar capacity

• Proficiency in 'About Time' time management software is essential

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies is required

• Demonstrated experience in managing budget processes is necessary

• Should have strong skills in Change Management

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are required

• Must have experience in Product Development, including cost-related aspects

• Knowledge of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) processes is desirable

• Experience in managing Global Supply Chain operations is needed

• Understanding of Supply Chain Logistics is crucial

• Must have a track record of managing Large-Scale Projects successfully

• A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is preferred

• Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams is necessary

• Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software is needed.
