Job Description:

L3Harris is looking for a Program Manager to support our Surveillance Solutions business located in Van Nuys, CA. Surveillance Solutions provides enabling technologies for situational awareness in land, sea, and air delivering identification, analysis, and precision approach of platforms in the area of interest. Through active radar technologies and passive detection solutions, Surveillance Solutions allows for complete battlespace control.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of a program through all phases from inception to completion• Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specification, operating budgets, and financial terms and conditions of contract• Ensure that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production, and facilities are available to support the program• Assist with defining program parameters or guiding internal research and development efforts in assigned field• Work with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities• Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas• Oversee the program execution to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining/updating scope, schedule, and costs• Gather and interpret customer requirements and collaborate across the extended enterprise to identify and acquire relevant assets/resources• Identify risks and create opportunities to manage the operational or market risks for a project or program• Identify opportunities to expand sales to existing customers or sell programs to new customers• Use of advanced application of technical and business principles, theories, concepts and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical and business problems• Travel as required by the customer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience• 6 plus years of experience in Engineering, Project Management, and/or Program Management in a DoD environment• 6 plus years of experience developing proposals

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with integrated program scheduling• Proficient with Earned Value Management processes • PMP certification

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000-$190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
