NORTHWEST STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Workforce Sales Coordinator in Van Wert, Ohio
Applications are being accepted for a Workforce Sales Coordinator for the Community & Workforce Development Division at Northwest State Community College (Van Wert Campus). The Workforce Sales Coordinator works in the area of business development and is responsible for growing business partnerships, and assisting with the sales of workforce development solutions to establish, grow, and retain new accounts. This position will help implement strategies to increase sales and generate revenue that represents the full range of Northwest State Community College classes and Custom Training Solutions. The Workforce Sales Coordinator will promote brand in the community to generate interest and services, while serving as a community resource and liaison for Northwest State Community College. This position will also have an emphasis with business and industry in Allen, Auglaize, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop strategic plans and forecasts that meet established and targeted performance goals for strategic sales plans and revenue generation.
- Assist with generating new local and national clients through research, cold calls, outreach and other marketing/sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff to identify and market to industry trends.
- Utilize pricing tool, accounting for all project expenses and market rates.
- Review reports and analytical materials to ensure attainment of objectives that meet client required deadlines.
- Deliver competitive proposals to current and prospective clients, meeting established and targeted performance goals for profitability.
- Assist with conducting needs assessments/diagnostic sales calls with prospective clients for the purpose of developing proposals for customized training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or equivalent education and/or experience required in the business, education or a public administrative discipline field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in direct sales of training or service preferred.
- Experience working with public workforce or economic development agencies preferred.
- Experience working with business & industry personnel in Van Wert service area preferred.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps programs.

Position will interact, and do presentations for business & industry personnel, NSCC and other college personnel, and the general public.
