$91,500- $122,000

Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

The PS&D Manager at International’s Paper New Bern Mill will be responsible for managing all aspects of secondary fiber and shipping activities for the facility. The individual will focus on logistics, transportation, quality systems, and customer relations while also supporting other areas of the manufacturing process. The PS&D Manager will report to the Finished Products Business Unit Manager.

The key accountabilities listed below are not to be considered all-inclusive; a team member may be required to perform additional tasks, as directed, and based on changing business needs of the company.

  • Lead the development and execution of quality, logistics, and transportation strategies of the mill

  • Oversee and lead productionactivities of winder and finishing areas

  • Maintain cost and budgets of department areas, including:

  • Mode of Transportation (MOT)

  • Motor Caning Manager (MCM)

  • Center for Transportation Excellence (CTE) personnel

  • Act as site coordinator for PPR and other critical business software for quality, warehouse management, and logistics

  • Coordinate customer interaction with the mill including, resolution of quality issues, changes in quality specification, and site visits

  • Ensure area fulfills specific 5S expectations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to wear all required safety equipment.

  • Noise levels in excess of 90 dB.

  • Heat in excess of 100°F occasionally.

  • Working environment is 24/7 – ability to be on-call as needed and/or required.+ Must be able to remain in stationary position 80% of shift time.

  • Walking: Within immediate area and up and down several floors.

  • Carrying: Periodically tools and equipment.

  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders and into tanks ,into and onto tanks and other vessels

  • Ability to work on concrete, and periodically move equipment/tools weighing up to 50lb

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applied science, engineering, logistics, business, or relevant field industry experience applicable to the position may be considered in lieu of degree

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience

  • Management experience

  • Experience in warehouse, quality, and logistics systems

  • Proficient with Proficy
