  • Job #7889 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This CAD Technician position will be responsible for producing drawings, consulting with engineering staff, and reviewing engineering data. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay Rate: $22.54 - $32.2 Benefits:

  • Use MicroStation CAD software and/or other software applications to prepare project designs, sketches, final / working drawings, and draft contract documents related to construction design packages.
  • Perform sub-system user file management within CAD systems, such as plotting, printing, storage and retrieving, and returning drawings from ProjectWise.
  • Provide quality design, layout, and production of engineering, electrical, electronic, and fiber optic drawings.
  • Organize drawings prior to setup and discuss project complexity and time estimates with technical and managerial personnel.
  • Perform assignments requiring expertise in computer-aided drafting using MicroStation CAD Software, including 3D.
  • Draft work that comes from Engineers in the group as well as field red lines; use advanced CAD skills that meet the company and TETS level required for CAD quality.
  • Research and report on missing information from data sheets and record / update as appropriate.
  • Assist with various administrative duties, such as engineering record maintenance which includes keeping switching files updated, obtaining new drawing numbers, inputting drawing information into the organization's CAD database at the various stages of the CAD process, and completing necessary forms to submit final drawings to central records.
  • Perform basic filing and document management functions. Create and maintain files and filing system(s) in accordance with compliance requirements. Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails, and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes.
  • Maintain CAD templates, including the template database and the associated SharePoint site. Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • An associate or higher college degree in a technical CAD training program is preferred.
  • 6 months of CAD drafting experience is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with MicroStation CAD software.
  • Experience with ProjectWise.
  • Experience participating in and performing effectively in a project team environment.
  • Proficiency with MS SharePoint to aid in updating group site with additional links to share data.
