PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a CT Technologist for a Full Time , 0.95 FTE, Night position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $41.18 – $61.32, plus applicable shift differentials. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Details of the position:

  • This night-shift position will be scheduled for four-10 hour shifts one week (1900-0530), and three-12 hour shifts the next (1900-0730), resulting in 4 days off every other weekend!

  • Performs all routine and specialized CT procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.

  • Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.

  • Operates CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.

  • Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor. Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.

  • Performs interventional procedures applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards.

  • Performs other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.

What you bring:

  • Completion of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology

  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency

  • PACS/RIS knowledge

  • ARRT - R required at hire. ARRT-CT certification required within 1 year of hire. Advanced ARRT (CT) Credential through an Advanced Nuclear Medicine (NM) Credential pathway instead of the Advanced ARRT (R) pathway is acceptable. This pathway would not require the new hire to need the ARRT (R) credential.

  • Washington state Radiology Technologist licensure required by date of hire

  • Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
