  • Job #7846 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Electrical Engineer position will provide professional engineering expertise in assisting the project manager and other engineering personnel in implementing projects, supporting field maintenance crews, and other related engineering activities. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay Rate: $30.40 - $43.43 Benefits:

  • Act as an electrical effects technical resource and point-of-contact (POC) which will facilitate review of Right of Way permit applications and Land Use Requests.
  • Perform clearance and electrical effects analyses to evaluate the impact of proposed Right of Way activity.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations to the group staff on planned and active expansion and sustain projects in the area of electrical effects, corona, audible noise, lightning protection, grounding, corrosion, switch maintenance and operation, obstruction marking and lighting.
  • May provide technical information related to electrical effects engineering at company-hosted meetings with the public, stakeholder or project team meetings, and/or management briefings. Note: Contract personnel must provide identification in meetings or in work situations (e.g., email signature block, business card, introductions, etc.) showing their employer of record.
  • Provide engineering support to Transmission Line Maintenance (TLM) field service engineers and staff by researching and recommending solutions to field issues associated with electrical effects, corona, audible noise, lightning protection, grounding, corrosion, switch maintenance and operation, obstruction marking and lighting.
  • Produce and review engineering design drawings, schematics, and specifications. Identify and provide solutions for discrepancies and update design documents as necessary.
  • Research problems, information, materials, and practices, and compile technical data to assist other engineers or Transmission Line Maintenance staff. Recommend solutions and/or prepare designs as needed.
  • Review standards, specifications, work standards and guides, and other pertinent engineering documents.
  • Schedule and meet timelines and milestones, providing timely status updates.
  • Become familiar with and follow the safety practices of the Accident Prevention Manual.
  • Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures.   • Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited college/university in electrical engineering or closely related engineering field is required.
