We are currently seeking to add an* Environmental Professional to our dynamic team in *Vancouver, Washington or Portland, Oregon.

Our uniquely broad menu of engineering and environmental services provides our professionals with the opportunity to collaborate on diverse project teams. You will work with our team of engineers and scientists on a variety of technical projects and environmental programs for clients in our public, private, and industrial sectors. This position is well-suited for a talented individual who is interested in becoming a leader and contributing to innovative and challenging projects, including stormwater and wastewater compliance, solid waste facility operations, and soil and groundwater monitoring programs. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with a well-established consulting firm with a diverse set of clients with challenging business needs.

$32 to $40 hourly. Approximately 25% field and 75% office/hybrid with ability to have flexible schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, and other related degrees
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant environmental experience
  • Good critical thinking, data evaluation, and organizational skills
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering

Job Responsibilities

  • Field collection of environmental samples (air, water, stormwater, wastewater, soil)
  • Routine regulatory reporting related to stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous waste, and air permit compliance
  • Preparing environmental management plans related to stormwater pollution prevention, spill prevention, and solid waste operations
  • Inspection and auditing for environmental compliance
  • Support a variety of environmental engineering tasks for remedial system design and construction
  • Assist with the evaluation and permitting of environmental projects
  • Travel to project sites within Washington and Oregon required
  • Represent PBS in a safe and professional manner both internally and externally
