Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking to fill a Highway Maintenance Worker 4 position located in Vancouver, WA. Under the direction of the Assistant Maintenance Superintendent, this position is a member of the regional maintenance organization. This position is responsible for planning, budgeting, directing, and coordinating use of the allocated resources to operate, preserve, repair, and maintain specific area highways and right of ways. The maintenance and repair of highways and highway structures is critical to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce. This position will have public safety and the safety of fellow employees as a high priority and must be considered in every decision and activity affecting the highway facilities. Excellent communication skills are necessary in this position as it is critical in fostering a respectful, and healthy work environment with focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position must be able to coach, mentor and train employees to perform to the best of their abilities.
