Do you enjoy being physically active, spending time outside, and working with your hands? If so,come join our team as an Early Head Start Infant and Toddler Teacher. This position provides and implements a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom experience for children enrolled in our Early Head Start program. Scheduled to work 40 hours per week. Fully qualified pay rate- $22.93, Trainee rate- $21.94. General schedule is Monday- Friday with a shift between 6:30am-6pm, with occasional after hours events.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Education-

    High school diploma or equivalent and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Infant and Toddlers, or, equivalent of 12 quarter ECE credits in age-appropriate early childhood and child development.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Associate degree in early childhood education or child development with an emphasis on groups of children 0-36 months of age.

    Associate degree not in ECE and a Child Development Associate (CDA) with an Infant/Toddler credential or equivalent of 12 quarter ECE credits in age-appropriate early childhood and child development.

    Knowledge of:

    • Current and developmentally appropriate best practices for children age 0-3.

    • Principles of infant/toddler development and infant/toddler curriculum planning.

    • Health and safety issues for infants, toddlers, and their families

    Ability to:

    • Observe and assess children and set individualized goals.

    • Prepare the classroom environment to meet the educational needs of each child.

    • Work cooperatively with staff members and clients from diverse cultural, socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

    • Maintain confidentiality of records and information

    • Be technology proficient
