PeaceHealth Server Storage Administrator- Remote in Vancouver, Washington

Description

PeaceHealth is seeking a Server Storage Administrator for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $36.55 – $54.83. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Responsible for the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft servers and data storage environments. Position requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems, Intel based hardware, data storage systems and hardware, security, and design concepts. As part of the server and storage team participates on organizational projects and initiatives.

  • **Must reside within 1 hour of Vancouver, WA or willing to relocate by date of hire.

Details of the Position:

  • Analyzes computing needs based on customer requirements and organizational direction to facilitate research and recommendations for cost effective hardware and software solutions.

  • Installs and maintains all server and storage infrastructure hardware, software, and services in compliance with established architectural standards.

  • Monitors, reports and manages performance of server and storage infrastructure.

  • Management and deployment of antivirus software and security patches for server environment.

  • Troubleshoots all server and storage infrastructure issues including availability and utilization.

  • Responsible for upgrades/patches to assigned Operating Systems, systems software, tools, networked components and applications as required by vendor partners.

  • Participates in an on call rotation for system and server and storage support.

  • Monitors and supports assigned server and storage applications and services as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Computer Science. or a related field or may substitute equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years Required: Administrator experience with Microsoft Server technology and/or Data Storage technologies and

  • Required: Experience with the following: Cisco UCS Server systems; Windows server security and antivirus; WINS, DHCP, Active Directory, DNS, FTP; Perfmon, Openview and Event Viewer tools; SAN fabrics, fiber switch, storage engine, solid state storage, RAID array, cache, etc.; PURE Storage, Isilon; Basic Networking, Backup, and Restore and Business Continuity.Preferred: Experience with Azure technology stack; VMware; Enterprise backup technologies; Cohesity, Commvault, SRM, etc.

  • Preferred: Clinical or healthcare experience

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). (Required)

  • Ability to work independently in an environment with multiple work demands and focus on detail (Required)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required)

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills (Required)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment (Required)

Working Conditions

Lifting

  • Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
