Job Description
BAE Systems designs, manufactures, delivers and integrates radar and electro-optical systems and sub-systems for domestic test ranges, aviation test centers and launch facilities around the world.
Job Summary:
Serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for hardware architecture used in test instrumentation systems to include radar, telemetry, electro-optical and flight termination systems.
Verifies complex designs to ensure conformance with specifications and customer requirements.
Develops hardware/software requirements, cost estimates and proposals. Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to improve function, add capability or enhance performance.
Lead business growth by successful technical execution, innovation and customer engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare or review technical documentation including proposals, whitepapers, reports and other types of documentation.
Subject matter expert on magnetron tube-based transmitters and modulators.
Perform radar system analyses including system sensitivity, angle accuracy, range accuracy and others.
Work with internal and external customers to resolve technical issues.
Prepare technical briefs and presentations for internal leadership and test range customers.
Provide technical guidance to senior leadership, program management and engineers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Requires a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and a minimum of 10 years of job-related experience or a Masters Degree in degree Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and 8 years of experience
Active Secret clearance required
Ability to travel is required
Understanding of radar systems architecture
Thorough understanding of magnetron tube-based transmitters and modulators
Proven track record of working with customers to resolve technical issues
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Background in ground radar system operation, design and development.
Familiarity with range instrumentation radar or similar systems.
Experience with research and development projects.
Familiarity with U.S and/or international test range operations (general).
Salary Min $115,110 - Max $195,660

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115110 - $195660
