AUI Partners Pile Driver Equipment Operator (HERC STR 20 and Vermeer PD10) in Various Locations, Texas

Candidates must have experience operating a pile driver. This position requires heavy travel nationwide

The main purpose of an Equipment Operator in Solar/renewable Energy is to support the install/build of various mechanical systems/components of solar and Renewable Energy systems on an active construction site. This person will demonstrate great care in safety and quality and will be a team player. Depending on work location, travel may be required. Local to nationwide travel options are available for candidates interested in full time travel.

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

Distribution, layout, assembly, and installation of various solar array components required construction of a solar / Renewable energy production plant.

Including but not limited to the safe execution of these task.

Under general supervision, operates various equipment including HERC STR 20, Vermeer PD10, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and skid steer and has - - experience in solar post installation.

Knowledge of basic equipment inspection and preventive maintenance including tire/track conditions, checking filters, oil and coolant levels

Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned when equipment is not in operation.

Distribution and installation of piles, racking and tracking materials

Support commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical systems throughout the plant.

Working with and supporting Electrical and Mechanical activities associated with equipment installation.

Assess work location for task and prepare Job Hazard Analysis for crew safety.

Manage housekeeping standards, Maintain clean work areas and site.

Safe use of power tools, test instruments and other necessary equipment.

Use Personal Protective Equipment at all times (Gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, proper work boots, and proper clothes, etc.).

Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures

Perform accurate QAQC and associated documentation for task.

Assist in planning and guiding equipment operations as needed for both electrical and mechanical activities. Includes supporting Crane operations.

Load/unload, distribute and stage Electrical and Mechanical materials and equipment.

Attend and complete mandatory training as required (OSHA, AHJ)

Able to follow instructions from lead/Foreman/Superintendent and field leadership members

Timely and consistent attendance is a requirement of this position.

Maintain quality and production/productivity standards presented by site leadership.

Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Must be 18+ years or older

Must have a valid driver's license and unexpired personal auto insurance, and their own reliable transportation

Minimum 2 years’ experience with equipment operation in the solar / Renewable industry. (Higher hourly pay is dependent on previous experience)

Minimum 4 years of verifiable equipment operating experience.

OSHA 10 Certification

Competent Person training for trench and excavation activities.

Experience reading drawings, specifications and applying information to installation.

Reading and writing skills appropriate to communicate with team members when required.

Ability to do physical and repetitive tasks for extended durations.

Operators will work with production crews when not operating equipment.

Ability to work in all weather.

Candidates will be well versed in the use of hand and power tool, including hydraulic, pneumatic and force multiplier equipment

Frequently lift heavy items and materials and/or move up to 50+ pounds

Must be able to work at heights more than 6’ above grade.

Safe operation and preventive maintenance of site equipment.

Requires constant attention to safety and quality at all times.
