Compensation
Compression Minimum = $157,360 (Grade B)
Responsibilities
This position is accountable for supplying safe and reliable buses to allow for the daily delivery of reliable service for the riding public for an entire depot/shop. This involves developing, implementing, and maintaining strict budgets, including material forecasting and usage monitoring; managing a full-scale disciplinary and labor relations process; and directing managers and supervisors to accomplish depot/division goals. Direct the day-to-day facilities and equipment maintenance for the depot.
Education and Experience
Eight (8) years of related experience including a minimum of four (4) years of supervisory/managerial experience; or
A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements
The incumbent must have one year of experience in the title of Superintendent, Maintenance or an equivalent title
Desired Skills
This position is responsible for managing all maintenance and repairs of the non-revenue vehicle fleet, coordinate inspections on cars, trucks, and vocational vehicles to comply with all Federal, State, Local laws, and regulations. Accountable for safe and reliable non-revenue vehicles.
Manage all labor relations to include discipline and grievances. Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of Support Fleet Services, accomplish goals, and maintain standards of the industry.
Collaborate with the Senior Director of Contracts and Planning on all outside contract obligations on core times and labor rates.
Coordinate vehicles during emergencies such as severe winter storms, major breakdowns of infrastructure, or other emergency relate incidents.
This position is responsible for providing safe and reliable buses to allow for the daily delivery of reliable service for the riding public for an entire Central Maintenance Facility, Buses.
This includes overseeing day-to-day facilities and equipment maintenance activities. This requires developing, implementing and maintaining strict budgets and directing managers and supervisors to accomplish division goals.
Execution of bus overhauls, accident repairs, scheduled and unscheduled repairs, campaigns/upgrades and shop operation.
The selected candidate will also manage a full-scale disciplinary and labor relations process.
