National Winter Actvity Center WINTER: Race Crew in Vernon, New Jersey

Position Purpose:

The Winter4Kids Race Crew is responsible for assisting with the preparation and operation of race events while ensuring the highest level of safety for our athletes.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

  • Experience in ski racing.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness to learn.

  • Ability to ski safely and confidently in all snow conditions, on varying types of terrain during extreme winter weather for prolonged periods of time.

    Responsibilities:

  • Assess in the daily set up.

  • Maintain race courses as needed.

  • Breakdown the courses.

  • Assist participants and other employees in race day needs.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Some physical requirements of this position include standing, running, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and demonstrate sports activities. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/program.
