This position is located at UHS Vestal Internal Medicine
Full-time, exempt and seeking both experienced or new graduate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in this Primary Care focused and collaborative environment.
The provider will be responsible for general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility, under direction of a physician. Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Record physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
FNP must possess current licensure in New York State as an RN and must have a current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner. Must also be board certified. PA must possess current licensure in New York State

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or Physician Assistant (PA) degree.
Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programLicense/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License or PA
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certification or PA certification
Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department
Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment
Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS
Preferred:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number
Salary: $124,000 - $145,800 Annually
Work Environment
All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Travel to other UHS Physician Practice locations may be necessary.
PPE is used as required by Infection Control policies.
