Aerotek Material Handler in Vicksburg, Michigan

Seeking 2nd Shift Material Handler - $19.72 an hour

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will supply parts and materials to molding machines, ensuring all equipment is prepared and operational for the mold techs and process techs. You will be utilizing a sit-down forklift and must have experience operating them. Your responsibilities include setting up, operating, filling, and emptying pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment. You will ensure that hoppers are continuously refilled using vacuum feeders or manual methods and that all necessary packing materials are available at workstations. Additionally, you will assist in operating presses, including relief, setup, color/material changes, and mold changes as directed. You will also maintain general housekeeping, engage in gauging, training, and assisting other utilities, ensure proper labeling of cartons, maintain routing systems, and ensure quality control by sampling totes for design intent and customer specifications. Your role is crucial in maintaining accurate productivity and defect information.

Skills

  • Operation of pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment

  • Operation of molding presses

  • Material handling using vacuum feeders or manual methods

  • Labeling procedures and quality control sampling

Work Environment

2nd shift, 3 PM - 11 PM
