Job Title: Rough Carpenter

Job Description

We are looking to hire commercial carpenters for a project in Sturgis, MI. The primary task will be the installation of single skin metal wall panels on site. This position is with a general contractor who self-performs commercial carpentry. The initial project in Sturgis is scheduled for 4 weeks, but long-term employment is available based on performance. There is plenty of work lined up.

Responsibilities

  • Install single skin metal wall panels on site

  • Perform rough carpentry tasks for commercial projects

  • Work with steel studs and metal framing

  • Install acoustical ceilings and complete commercial framing work

  • Participate in new construction projects

Essential Skills

  • Experience in commercial carpentry

  • Proficiency with metal studs

  • Ability to work with steel stud and metal framing

  • Experience in installing acoustical ceilings and commercial framing

  • Must own basic carpentry tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with single skin metal wall panels

Work Environment

Work on job sites around the SW Michigan area, including commercial buildings, schools, fire stations, and county buildings. The weekly schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with possible overtime. The work environment is dynamic and involves various commercial carpentry tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vicksburg, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00
