Job Summary :

Drive a winning culture through respect for people. Leads other team leaders and assists in managing operational issues to ensure effective and efficient product flow at the Vidalia, GA location.

Responsibilities :

  1. Help drive the team to create and follow Standard Work that enables 100% takt attainment, while maintaining a safe environment and a zero defect product.

  2. Serve as the supervisor of and provide support to the Team Leaders, Tech’s and CIE’s

  3. Work directly with Team Leaders, Tech’s and CIE’s to provide them with the necessary tools to create a model cell and run that cell like their own small business (quality, safety, production, standard work, leadership, problem solving, communications, scheduling, housekeeping, etc.).

  4. Foster an environment where employees are treated with respect and dignity, there’s an emphasis on communication and business goals, and accomplishments and activities in support of operating objectives are actively clarified.

  5. Evaluate and improve the skills and performance of team members and Team Leaders.

  6. Create an environment that promotes career development by motivating team members to share their career goals and assisting them with forming a plan to meet those goals.

  7. Promote lean cultural transformation, 5S program, usage of value stream tools and visual factory.

  8. Advocate for transformational change by identifying techniques to break down barriers, while encouraging employees to participate in Rapid Improvement Events (RIE’s) and change their way of thinking.

  9. Encourage employees to perform safely and to their highest ability by acknowledging their efforts and rewarding them accordingly.

  10. Work with Team Leaders to build a sense of community within teams by promoting a team environment, actively listening to employees needs and providing coaching where necessary.

  11. Integrate processes, teams, people, and resources to achieve daily and long term operating objectives in safety, quality, customer delivery, costs and people development.

  12. Consistently apply Trane policies and procedures.

  13. Foster interdepartmental relationships and coordinate with other supervisors to facilitate operations, activities and events

  14. Facilitate meetings with multifunctional groups including corporate representatives

  15. Supervise Housekeeping leads and oversees the entire housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across the facility.

  16. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA and company-specific protocols.

  17. Maintain effective communication with other departments to address service requests and coordinate event setup, cleaning, and maintenance.

  18. Implement technology solutions to streamline housekeeping operations, such as scheduling, task management, and performance tracking.

  19. Proficient in CMMS systems and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  20. Determine job needs such as PPE, parts, lifting equipment, scaffolding, insulation removal/replacement, abatement and so forth, in order to determine approximate job cost.

  21. Oversee daily Purchasing functions and work closely with Purchasing team on any issues / critical items that support Manufacturing

  22. Work closely with the Purchasing and Stores personnel to ensure that parts are available for daily maintenance activities.

  23. Track and report on capital projects costs and status on a regular basis, i.e. monthly, or as required.

  24. Review open orders for impact on schedules and resolve problems.

  25. Coordinate the daily maintenance activities to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effective completion of all work orders.

  26. Conduct regular team meetings to review updates, gather feedback, and assess staff performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Must have High School diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

· minimum of one (1) year of Trane Team Leader experience or three (3) years of factory leadership or production management required.

· Must have a clear understanding of servant leadership and the capability to be a servant first.

· Minimum of 5 years in maintenance planning within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

· Completion of TLDP or other leadership training.

· Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead by example and positively influence and inspire others to meet goals.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate goals, strategy and vision, address and resolve difficult issues, work effectively in a team environment and lead with little direct supervision.

· Experience in setting performance goals and providing feedback.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

· Must have the flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week and on weekends as needed.

· Must have a strong understanding of Operational Excellence tools.

· Prior work history and experience at Trane and other employers will be considered.

· Bilingual is a plus, to communicate with contractor and new hires.

· Experience in Procurement.

· Proficient in CMMS systems and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

· Exceptional attention to detail, analytical abilities, and time management skills.

Physical Requirements :

· Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shift

· Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist

· Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day

· Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3’s of work shift

· Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day

· Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day

· Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions

· Basic visual requirements for precision work

· Moderate physical exertion
