Our client, a leader in the steel fabrication industry, is seeking a Melt Shop Maintenance Manager to join their team. As a Melt Shop Maintenance Manager, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting a dedicated team of supervisors and technicians. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Melt Shop Maintenance Manager

Location: Beaumont, Texas

Pay Range: $140,000 - $165,000

What's the Job?

• Manage a team of 6 Maintenance Supervisors and 40 unionized maintenance technicians.

• Responsible for all melting and casting equipment maintenance (preventive and breakdown) including the servicing of existing equipment and installation of new facilities.

• Establishing effective maintenance methods and procedures including establishing preventive maintenance program.

• Minimizing downtime and maintenance cost.

• Responsible for employee selection, training, evaluation, discipline, and safety.

• Responsible for maintaining baghouse air quality within required regulatory specifications.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualifications.

• 8-10 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance, preferably in steel or metal production.

• Proven experience managing a team of supervisors and technicians in a unionized environment.

• Metal experience in Electric Arc Furnace, Heavy Mill Machinery, Scrap Processing, Metallurgy/Metallurgist, Melting, Casting/Caster, Rolling Mill, Maintenance, Finishing, Refractory and Melt Shop.

• Strong leadership skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to establish work methods and procedures for breakdown and preventive maintenance programs.
