TEKsystems Quality Assurance Specialist in Vienna, Virginia
Description:
Hybrid - Must be near and open to driving to Vienna, VA (HQ) 8 days a month
To support the company’s quality control program for all lending products (real estate and consumer). Assess workflows, including loan processing and appraisals, to ensure compliance with investor mandated quality control program guidelines and federal and state regulations. Recommend solutions for identified product risk exposure. Provide administrative support for the Investor Quality Assurance function and contribute to smooth and efficient section operations. Works under supervision.
Responsibilities:
Collate, image and track all pertinent/required documentation to support loan decisioning
Conduct routine quality control reviews of documents to ensure adherence to all regulations and requirements; communicate and/or correct errors/omissions
Identify, index and scan loan documents generated and received by the branch
Compile data and create follow-up memoranda for distribution; ensure outstanding requests are fulfilled
Proofread outgoing documents for procedural, typographical and grammatical accuracy; correct/ recommend adjustments to originator
Provide standard report updates, including statistical maintenance for management
Serve as information liaison with loan applicants, seller, attorneys, underwriters and/or agent; resolve related discrepancies/errors/misunderstandings
Serve as point of contact for external vendors and contacts (appraisal management company or credit bureaus) to resolve accounting and/or record discrepancies
Liaise with department staff on the monthly quality assurance reports/results; track corrections and conduct related follow-up
Provide standard guidance on the quality assurance process while addressing member concerns
Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)
Order and track supplies, equipment and services through Procurement to Pay System (P2P)
Maintain basic office equipment, troubleshoot basic technical problems and coordinate servicing
Sort and distribute incoming mail and other correspondence
Monitor branch budgeting and track purchasing; maintain records for business expenses
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Real Estate Lending experience
Experience working in Empower
Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, & Word
Working knowledge of Freddie Mac and/or Fannie Mae guidelines
Familiarity with financial institution and lending practices, principles and regulations
Exposure to the mortgage lending industry
Exposure to mortgage lending quality control, post settlement or mortgage evaluation
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desired - Knowledge of the company’s mortgage servicing system-of-record
Desired - Knowledge of Real Estate Lending systems, policies, procedures, practices and/or actions
Desired - Knowledge of the company’s Mortgage Production and/or Servicing Systems
Desired - Knowledge of NCUA rules, regulations and federal laws pertaining to consumer lending
Desired - Experience using document scanning or imaging equipment
Desired - Knowledge of the company’s products, services, programs, policies and procedures
Clerical, technical or administrative skills
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Knowledge of database and presentation software skills
Knowledge of and skill creating reports and utilizing data from several sources
Knowledge of organizational, planning and time management skills
Knowledge of verbal and written communication skills
Skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully
