Position Description
TITLE
Communications Manager

Executive Director

Regular Full-Time, Exempt
SALARY
$57,426 to $64,210
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring engaging and effective agency internal and external communications. Incumbent will be responsible for collaborating to develop consistent communication strategies, content, and creating brand awareness using various platforms. Incumbent will serve on senior leadership team ensuring proper accountability of program areas.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A minimum of two years previous supervisory/management experience. Individual must be able to satisfactorily perform duties and;
Effectively communicate both orally and in writing; have the ability to write reports and business correspondence; have the ability to e ffectively present information;
Cooperate successfully as a member of a team;
Possess good organizational skills, with sensitivity to details; and
Proficiency with computer operations and possess skills preferably with MS Office.
ADDITIONAL job requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle with required liability insurance for use in business related travel.
Must ensure efficient operations and present a professional image in conduct, attitude and attire.
Must be philosophically compatible with the mission of PACE.

Essential Duties & responsibilities
Acquire an in-depth knowledge of all Pace programs and outside resources available to meet the needs customers.
Organize and coordinate agency communication strategies and activities that promote company culture and vision.
Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase agency awareness, promote volunteerism, and generate donations.
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of the community, funding sources, and public officials.
Prepare and present materials, reports, and training to the Board of Directors, Head Start Policy Council, staff, and community members as required.
Attend networking events, meetings, trainings, and conferences.
Write, edit, and proofread content for various platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, and fundraising materials. Identify and develop compelling stories and case studies highlighting the impact of the organization's work.
Manage and update social media channels.
Work closely with other management, financial and program staff.
Supervise assigned staff, implementing Professional Development Plans and provide on-going training.
Recommend staffing patterns including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Ensure a work-safe environment for all staff.
Submit timely, accurate and complete reports.
Comply with company, state and federal regulations.
Physical/Mental Demands
Requires sitting, standing, stooping, bending and reaching with manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, copy machines, telephone and other office equipment. May require lifting up to 40 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Must be able to handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Requires ability to set priorities and work schedule, yet adjust to changes necessitated by last minute assignments and deadline requests that may prove stressful. Consistent pleasant attitude is necessary with personal maturity as an important attribute. Must relate and interact with people at all levels of the company and in a culturally diverse environment.
