How your expertise will fit into the GTSs World: Responsible for daily warehouse operation including receiving, storage, order lists for packaging material, packaging, shipping and assist with functions of a manufacturing facility.
What your working environment will be like: This work is typically performed in a production warehouse/fabrication facility, which requires safety precautions-steel toed shoes are required. Work may require some physical effort in the handling (lifting and movement) of heavy materials, boxes, or equipment. Requests for reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of the job. This is how you will play a key part in our GTS ecosystem:
- Perform all receiving functions: material received through purchase orders and/or from various Government agencies and locations.
- Perform packaging/labeling of outbound shipments IAW Best Commercial Practices and/or Military specifications. Some items may be large and heavy.
- Various administrative duties to include completion of receiving reports, shipping documents and labels.
- Filing and computer data entry.
- Assist with inventory control of material to include issuing/kitting of parts to production floor.
- Coordinate outbound shipments and GBLs through commercial and/or DoD websites
- Warehouse maintenance and cleanliness.
- Willing to assist with production of carbon fiber winding (will train).
- Willing to assist with production of metalworking fabrication (will train).
Work Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years work experience
Essential Skill/Experience:
- Able to lift items of 50 pounds or greater
- Excellent communications skills
- Fork lift experience a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Previous experience with Costpoint (Deltek) or other MRP system a plus
- Knowledge of military specifications, standards and terminology.
- ISO 9001:2012 experience preferred.
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
- Basic MS Office computer experience
- Certified forklift operator
