Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to support a surveying and mapping firm in the Virginia Beach, VA area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys and maps meeting the current VDOT survey requirements. Responsibilities will also include individual project management, courthouse research, construction staking calculations, and occasional field work. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.

Performing QA work to check topo, check for city/state standards to ensure all work done and signed off on is up to code. 30%

Must have experience with the state regulation where they have performed this work.

Taking responsible charge of projects 20%

Drafting 25%

Proposal writing/estimating 25%

Skills and Requirements

Licensed Surveyor in Virginia.

At minimum, pursuing a license in VA or NC.

1-2 years of experience taking responsible charge of projects (public or private). Field Experience
