Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responds to emergency calls, assists ambulance team in performance of medical services and safe transportation of patients to medical facilities.

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of being oriented to the ED

Job Location: Essentia Virginia Hospital

Shift Rotation: Day/Night Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: Varies/Varies

Hours Per Pay Period: Casual

Compensation Range: $41.72 - $60.19 / hour

Union: VA Hospital MNA RNs (VAHOSPRN)

FTE: 0

Weekends: Casual
