JBT Proseal is a manufacturer of tray sealing equipment in the food industry, combining high-quality manufacturing with our people and products to make our customers successful. As our Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator you will supervise the safety and health program of the business, to ensure compliance with established policies and OSHA regulations; this includes training, record keeping, permits, incident reporting, policy and procedures and other related compliance issues. On a given day, you may: Develop and implement strategies that align with corporate goals to reduce/mitigate operational risk associated with OSHA, VOSH, DNR and EPA requirements Maintain and enforce safety programs, and policies Responsible for compliance with all related regulatory regulations and Corporate compliance requirements Ensure OSHA compliance – compliance with Federal, State, Local and Corporate requirements relating to training, recordkeeping, permits, reports, policy and procedures Coordinate inspections and tours of facilities to detect existing or potential accidents, fire and health hazards; and recommend corrective or preventative actions Manage the safety training and compliance of all onsite and off-site employees Conduct employee training programs in accident and fire prevention and protection, and other employee safety programs Investigate accidents and injuries. Prepare legally required reports and any regular or special reports for use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations Ensure environmental compliance – compliance with Federal, State, Local and Corporate requirements relating to record keeping, permits, reports, training and other related concerns Manage all related medical - first aid and case management (Workers' Comp.) and industrial hygiene activities Work with Corporate staff and assists in Safety and Environmental audits off site May serve as liaison with local fire departments, area hospitals and other outside agencies regarding employee safety and health programs Behavior Based Safety (BBS). Oversee BBS tools and promotes and coaches the workforce in Behavioral-based Safety and reporting Be responsible for Incident Management Requirements for the role Bachelor's Degree. Field of Study preference: Industrial Engineering or Safety/Environmental Management You have 4 years' of experience in similar roles Knowledge of HSE and OSHA regulations Travel & Location You will report onsite and we ask that you travel approximately 5-10% of the time for the year.
