JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The ideal candidates must be able to analyze, clean, and manipulate geospatial data using Esri ArcMap based on aerial imagery. Will work as part of the vector editing team that generates GIS databases used for military simulation. Hiring for candidates associate to senior level.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Editing and creating shapefiles and geodatabases to be integrated into simulation environments using aerial imagery

• Update shapefile attribution to reflect current projects standard form

• Quality control other peers work and identify errors according to rulesets

• Produce reference maps as needed

Desired Skills and Requirements

• Proficiency with ESRI ArcMap, ArcCatalog

• ArcMap test demonstrating skill proficiency may be required

• Experience with QGIS, Global Mapper, Adobe Photoshop, Python

• Experience in GIS and Simulation for DoD

• Problem solving/analysis

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, geography or other relevant degree.

1-10+ years of experience as a GIS Analyst

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

Must be a US Citizen
