Then, guided by experienced professionals, they will put the skills they learn into practice in a supportive corporate environment.

These positions will commence in July 2024 and will be based in CDMX.

Make your mark in Property Underwriting Commercial Lines

AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. As a Property underwriter will be part of UW teams. He/she should work in team, learn about all the products offered in Property, focus on the customer to provide excellence service and contributes to increase a profitable portfolio. He/she should build business relationships.

How you will create an impact

• Effective underwriting helps protect the financial stabilitu of the company minimizing the risk of large claims of defaults.

• The underwriters contributes to the profitability of the organization by ensuring that premiums or rates accurately reflect the level of tisk.

• A professional approach to underwriting can lead to higher client retention rates and positive word of mouth referrals.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the underwriting department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Ensure that underwriting decisions comply with company guidelines, industry regulations, and legal standards.

• Maintain up to date knowledge of industry practices to ensure compliance.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Actuary, Industrial Engineering, Engineering or similar), graduating in 2023.

• Medium to advance English.

• Good communication skills, both written & verbal

• Time management – ability to manage & prioritize workload and diary management.

• Effective analytical and attention to detail.

• Office Package: Intermediate or advance level of Excel, Word, Outlook.
