The USC Sol Price School of Public Policy Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, is seeking a senior level working professional with expertise and a primary position in grantmaking or fund development. The successful candidate should possess a graduate degree and 7 years of experience in the field of fundraising from a variety of sources including private donors, foundations, corporations and government or in a decision-making role as a grant maker. The candidate will be able to teach graduate-level courses related to one or more of the following areas: strategic fundraising, proposal writing, story telling and data, cause-related marketing and relationship building and community impact. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching or training experience.

Course Description: PPDE 681 Fund Development for Nonprofit Organizations

A successful, sustainable fundraising program is critical to the success of every nonprofit organization. This course provides students with a practical and strategic understanding of current practices and emerging concepts, techniques and theories of nonprofit fundraising. Students will gain knowledge of the theoretical foundation and principles of fundraising while developing the practical and analytical skills needed to develop and lead fundraising efforts for an organization. Students will develop the ability to think creatively and problem-solve by creating a fund development plan that incorporates learning a variety of approaches throughout the course.

Adjunct responsibilities include delivery of course content, scheduling office hours and being accessible to students as appropriate, and grading. Each instructor is expected to provide students with a syllabus outlining the course goals, schedule and all requirements for the course under the direction of the Department Chair.

The hourly rate range for this position is $29.06/hr. - $38.89/hr.
