AAA Mid Atlantic Air Specialist VIP Services Agent (Work from Home) in United States

Provident Travel, a subsidiary of AAA Club Alliance, presents an exciting new opportunity for a Air Specialist VIP Services Agent to become a part of their dynamic team!

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with high-end, luxury international and domestic travel related requests with a primary focus on airline travel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in international and domestic faring, and in addition to providing outstanding customer service, will be responsible for providing VIP preferred services, as outlined below. This position will manage mid-office technology and maintain airline commission agreements. This role offers the flexibility of working from home.

**This is a work from home position; however, candidates must live within our territory.

What you will be doing as a Air Specialist VIP Services Agent :

  • VIP duties include, but are not limited to interaction with management, leisure travel advisors and luxury travel clientele.

  • Fulfill high end airline booking and ticketing requests for international and domestic travel. Additionally, book hotel and car rentals for clients booking air travel.

  • Acts as an Air Travel support and resource for Associates’ telephone and electronic inquiries for air travel services, information, policies, and technologies, including required international travel documentation.

  • Completes all airline ticket transaction, ticket exchange and refund requests for all Provident/Martin Leisure Travel Operations. Works independently and in collaboration with others to investigate and solve client and associate inquiries and complaints, ensuring management/client satisfaction. Assists with resolution of more complex issues or inquiries.

  • Maintain client profiles, ensuring special requests and reward program information such as frequent flyer/ driver/hotel stay are included.

  • May build airline reservation system profiles for use with a specific group of travelers.

  • Monitor, sort and work global distribution systems (GDS) queues daily to maintain quality control.

  • Ensure optimum customer service through effective use of phone systems and positive telephone service techniques.

  • Acts as a main point of contact for travel systems. Ensures prompt action and response to operational and technical inquiries and problem resolution, to include but not limited to Sabre (Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Vendor Systems, Scripts, Mid-Office Technology and airline commission management.

  • Collaborates with management to recommend and support appropriate Sabre GDS training/re-training.

  • Acts in primary role for development specific to Sabre GDS, Mid-Office Technology and Air Commission management.

  • Provides assistance and support to communicate and work with vendor systems, in particular regarding Sabre (GDS) system issues and discrepancies; interacts until issues are resolved.

  • Manages and communicates problem resolution with management within Provident/Martin Travel, Travel Accounting, IT and Vendor network to ensure alignment and consistent application of policies, procedures and standards.

  • Activates and monitors the GDS interface between front and back office, and troubleshoots related errors and problems.

  • Maintains logins for Provident/Martin associates for all applicable leisure travel related systems including but not limited to Sabre (GDS).

  • Tests new and existing travel technologies, recommends enhancements and identifies errors.

  • Develops content and updates and maintains Sabre GDS information resources on the Provident/Martin SharePoint to address associate inquiries as well as maintains FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) in a back-up capacity.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 4 years of recent experience as a Travel Consultant experience in the past 6 years

  • 2-4 years international experience

  • Proficiency in using a GDS system and Sabre preferred

  • Demonstrated professional customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
